Fluorosilicone

Fluorosilicones contain, as the name suggests, side groups with fluorine (trifluoropropyl groups to be precise) which give the silicone these special properties. Fluorosilicones can also have varying degrees of these groups. Therefore, the percentage that is fluoridated is sometimes stated (eg 50 or 100%). Fluorosilicones are more resistant to hydrocarbons such as fuels, oils and other liquids.
